Clinton cites Kennedy assassination in primaries

In a startling article, Clinton has cited the assassination of JFK's younger brother Robert, in 1968, in relation to why she is not backing out of the race just yet. Perhaps this is a signal of some sort to someone out there, but the media will definitely not let this story go for a while.

As sad as it is, I found this video on YouTube in regards to his assassination, something I knew little about.

What's in John McCain's medical records?

He'll be releasing everything about his repeated cancer surgeries. But he won't release his psychiatric records, which hold clues to the effect of his Vietnam captivity, which included two years in solitary confinement. It is well documented that the sort of treatment McCain endured can harm the mind.

Presidential candidate John McCain has survived three plane crashes, four melanomas, and more than five years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam, enduring torture and solitary confinement. There would be questions about his health and his fitness for the office he seeks even if he weren't turning 72 in August, and even if he weren't likely to be running against a man 25 years his junior.

On Friday, after repeated pledges to do so going back more than a year, the McCain campaign is set to release new information about the Arizona Republican's health history. The release, according to the campaign, will cover the year 2000 forward, a period when McCain had three of his four skin cancers removed, as well as lymph nodes and part of a salivary gland. It will not, however, include McCain's psychiatric records, which McCain allowed a select group of reporters to examine in 1999 but have never been released to the public. The new information is unlikely to quash recurring questions about McCain's age, his bouts with cancer, or how his experience in Vietnam may have affected his mind.

In a recent change of events, due to Senator Kennedy's recent condition, it will be none other than Obama filling in for him at a commencement ceremony at Wesleyan, a school his stepdaughter goes to. I wonder how the media will react on site for this one.

In what appears to leave Clinton with no hope as she continues on, her dream of at least becoming the VP has all been but wiped out. When asking Obama directly if she could serve as his VP, he simply said "No", and that he will be finding his own candidate.

Unapologetic Hagee Says Hitler Statement Was "Mischaracterized"

In regards to the recent Huffington Post story on Hagee, and his Hitler comment, he has recently come out to address it.

His own words,

"To assert that I in any way condone the Holocaust or that monster Adolf Hitler is the biggest and ugliest of lies," Hagee wrote. "I have always condemned the horrors of the Holocaust in the strongest of terms. But even more importantly, my abhorrence of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism has never stopped with mere words."

McCain Backer Hagee Said Hitler Was Fulfilling God's Will (AUDIO)

In a story similar to that of Rev. Wright and Obama, now McCain's pastor John Hagee has caused controversy, with his take saying that Hitler was fulfilling God's will, and that Jews are meant to be hunted. With McCain endorsed by him, this is almost no different than the Rev. Wright/Obama issue, who he has relationships with for over 20 years.

In the recent The Real McCain 2, as shown below, John McCain finally comes off as the man he is. An ill informed, indecisive, senior statesman, who has no place running this country. This video has now received over 1 million views, and is far from things the MSM is reporting.

Record Obama Crowd, the Size of a City

I find this story amazing, as Obama was recently able to gather 75,000 supporters in the small state of Oregon for one of his recent speeches. I wonder if they are all zealous supporters, or some that may have drank a bit too much of the Obama cool aid. Regardless, it makes for a great story.

McCain Lies, Says Reagan Didn't Negotiate With Iran

Once again, McCain has demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge about foreign policy and American history. First he got confused over Sunnis and Shiites, now this. McCain seems to be forgetting something kind of important that happened during the Reagan administration. It's called the Iran-Contra Scandal. Even in a recent history class I took last quarter, did we all learn about this, and how things played out. Yet this 76 year old is somehow forgetful?

He says,

“Yes, there have been appeasers in the past, and the president is exactly right, and one of them is Neville Chamberlain,'’ Mr. McCain told reporters on his campaign bus after a speech in Columbus, Ohio. “I believe that it’s not an accident that our hostages came home from Iran when President Reagan was president of the United States. He didn’t sit down in a negotiation with the religious extremists in Iran, he made it very clear that those hostages were coming home."

Edwards endorses Obama, praises Clinton

Finally Edwards has come forward to support Obama, and his campaign. He realizes that Democrats across the country have spoken, and Barrack is there man. This is a huge gain for the Obama campaign, and it will be interesting to see how the MSM react to this news.

"There is one man who knows and understands that this is a time for bold leadership. There is one man that knows how to create the change, the lasting change, that you have to build from the ground up," Edwards said. "There is one man who knows in his heart there is time to create one America, not two ... and that man is Barack Obama."

Clinton: It'd be 'terrible mistake' to pick McCain over Obama

I found this article interesting, as Clinton is basically saying that it would be a huge mistake to pick McCain over Obama, highlighting the fact that she actually does support Obama, and not McCain, someone who she has appeared close to in recent years. She basically sends this message to her supporters who might feel that Obama is not their man, and if she doesnt win the nomination, vote for McCain to spite Obama.

"Anybody who has ever voted for me or voted for Barack has much more in common in terms of what we want to see happen in our country and in the world with the other than they do with John McCain," Clinton said on CNN's "The Situation Room."

Clinton Team Acknowledges $20 Million Debt

In a class where we recently discussed Campaign Finance, as well as the degree to which candidates use their websites for personal contributions, I found this article interesting. Here is Clinton with $20 million in debt, much of that financed by her own pocket, and she is STILL continuing on. What will it take for her to bow out? Oh well, its her problem, right...?

Clinton aides continued to insist that she will remain in the race even while confirming that she is $20 million in debt. "The voters are going to decide this," senior adviser Howard Wolfson said on "Fox News Sunday," acknowledging the $20 million figure. "There is no reason for her not to continue this process." Wolfson said he has seen "no evidence of her interest" in pursuing the second-place spot on the Democratic ticket, contrary to rumors that she is staying in the race to leverage a bid for the vice presidential nomination.

I've wanted to post something like this up for a while, ever since I saw his answer during one of the debates. McCain + economic policies = AMERICA's LOSS. The current Bush administration has literally put this country into one of the worst economic times in a while, through multiple wars and it's foreign policy, not to mention the role of Federal Reserve lately, and massive inflation. Will John McCain be able to come in, and radically change this, no. Does this video prove that, more or less, yes.

McCain in 1999: Bush "As Dumb as a Stump"

I found this interesting, as there is speculation at the Huffington Post, on whether or not McCain voted for Bush in 2000. Arianna Huffington says No, but in fact he might have, only he and possibly his wife know for sure. The author in this article, had a fond memory of a vacation she took with the McCain's in '99, and this occurred. I strongly agree with her conclusion.

Always the goods hosts, the McCains also invited us to spend the day with them, including for barbeque, a favorite of John's. And as McCain flipped burgers, I could not help but ask his views about then candidate George W. Bush.

"He's as dumb as a stump," McCain offered. We then went on to discuss other matters (including Vietnam) but that quote remains seared in my memory.

So how the McCains actually voted that November is between them and their voting booth. But if John McCain did end up voting for Bush, then by his own admission he voted for a stump.

Bill Clinton's Angry Confrontation With Voter

While campaigning in Fayetteville, W.Va., Bill Clinton argued with an audience member over claims made by Hillary Clinton that she improved health care during his administration.

I find this remarkable, that here is a man, a former President, who fully understands his wife is trying to run a legitimate campaign, and he is causing controversy on the road. Why not just stay quiet Bill, that might do your wife less harm in the long run.

Californians Would Switch Clinton Vote For Obama

As a fellow California resident, and one who is registered to vote, this is rather interesting to me. Although I voted for Ron Paul, its funny to see that many of those who voted for Clinton would now vote for Obama. Even more hillarious is the fact that if many do feel this way, and yet Clinton is raving about how she won all the big states, then its almost all in vain.

While voters in the California Democratic Presidential Primary backed Clinton by a 10-point margin, a new SurveyUSA poll shows that if given the chance to vote again, Californians would choose Barack Obama by a 6-point margin, 49%-43%.

Hillary Is Done, Say Media Overlords

Hey, look, Matt Drudge did something nice for the entire country: He ended the Democratic primary, even though it was supposed to continue until eternity. See the picture and headline at left, which ran atop Drudge Report tonight. Drudge's link went to a video of Meet The Press anchor Tim Russert calmly explaining to America that "we now know who the Democratic nominee is going to be" and that Hillary Clinton is probably about to quit (she cancelled her TV appearances and everything!). Then David Gergen, the Bill Clinton aide turned talking head, said on CNN the election is over, partly because Chelsea looked sad during Hillary's last speech. "You could see the anguish on her face," Gergen said. "I think the Clinton people know the game is almost up."
